David Jahn (KÜS TEAM75 Bernhard, Porsche 911 GT3-R), winner in general classification: "Unbelievable - I'm totally proud to be a member of this team. I cannot believe how fast we have risen up the championship. Thinking back to the Spielberg weekend, I was 16th in the standings. Now I'm in with a real chance. At the Nürburgring, we finished third in the Sunday race. Also a respectable result. We'll now keep going at full throttle and give it our best shot tomorrow."
Kévin Estre (KÜS TEAM75 Bernhard, Porsche 911 GT3-R), winner in general classification: "That was a really cool race. David got off to a good start and didn't take any risks. The strategy of the team to come in after the safety car period was very good. I then tried to push hard on the first two or three laps to leave the Audi and the other Porsche behind me. From then on, I aimed to control the race. That wasn't easy, because this track is very hard on the rear tyres. I was struggling with a lot of oversteer and wasn't sure if the tyres would hold up. We now have to make sure qualifying goes well tomorrow. If we manage to do that, a lot will then be possible."
Christopher Mies (Montaplast by Land-Motorsport, Audi R8 LMS), P2 in general classification: "The race was OK. We got the maximum that was possible here today. The Porsche was too strong for us. Despite that, second place is obviously good for our chances in the championship. Our timetable for the rest of the weekend: a good qualifying tomorrow and a hatful of points in the race. And as regards the grand finale at Hockenheim, we're hoping for rain."
Martin Ragginger (Precote Herberth Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3-R), P3 in general classification: "The safety car deployment upset Robert's race. By the time it was my turn, the two leaders were relatively quickly out of reach. I then drove at my own speed, and the car was very good. After that, there was no way forward, but everything was OK to the rear, so I just focused on bringing the race to a safe conclusion."
Robert Renauer (Precote Herberth Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3-R), P3 in general classification: "I managed to defend second position quite well. But unfortunately a minor error occurred on my pit stop - I have to take responsibility for that. Martin then didn't know exactly how he stood as regards timing for the pit stop, and as a result we lost two places. A stupid thing, and we should have done better. But at least we made it onto the podium."
Marvin Dienst (bigFM Racing Team Schütz Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3-R), P4 in general classification, P2 in Junior class: "I think we can be satisfied with this result. We saw in qualifying that we can go at a really good pace. I even got held up on my quickest lap and was unable to get the most out of it. The race has confirmed that. We moved up to fourth on the last lap, fortunately. After a sequence of races in which we've had bad luck and finished way down the field, that's a good feeling. Christopher has fresh tyres for tomorrow's qualifying, which I'm sure will be good, and then I'll consolidate in the second stint."
Christopher Zanella (bigFM Racing Team Schütz Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3-R), P4 in general classification: "That was a pretty tough race, but we got our just rewards in the end. It was tough because I spun round on the first corner, glanced against the wall and lost two positions. But I was able to steady the car and even apply some pressure on the Bentley in front of me. Towards the end, they had problems of their own, and I got past. A well deserved fourth place."
Fabian Hamprecht (Bentley Team ABT, Bentley Continental GT3), P6 in general classification, P3 in Junior class: "Ultimately very frustrating of course, because we had earned that fourth place. The start was OK, no bumps or scrapes. The Porsche immediately put us under a lot of pressure. On the last lap, we had a problem with the engine."
Christer Jöns (Bentley Team ABT, Bentley Continental GT3), P6 in general classification: "We were confident that we were going to finish fourth, but we missed out right at the end due to the engine misfiring. Anyway, at least we came sixth."
Sven Barth (RWT Racing, Corvette Z06.R), P13 in general classification: "Our first actual win in the Trophy class! Moving up from 22nd on the grid to finish 13th, some good scraps along the way on my favourite track - what more could you want? Well, perhaps a Top Ten result. But today was really OK."
