HB Racing bring in Pommer: Former Audi driver switches to Lamborghini for Hockenheim

Markus Pommer has switched marques for the last two races of the season. The 25-year-old was last seen in the ADAC GT Masters driving an Audi entered by Aust Motorsport Zandvoort. This move to HB Racing means that he will be competing for the first time in a Lamborghini Huracán GT3. His co-driver will be Dutchman Jaap van Lagen.

"HB Racing offered me a test and I jumped at the chance," said Pommer. "The handling of the Lamborghini is quite similar to that of the Audi. The wheelbase is slightly shorter and the front tyres are slightly narrower. I adapted pretty well. Now, I'm looking forward to the race at Hockenheim. The team is in good form, and in Jaap van Lagen, I have an experienced and reliable team-mate."

An additional attraction for Pommer lies in the proximity of the Hockenheimring to his home town of Neckarsulm: "The track is only 30 minutes away from where I live. So that makes it a real home fixture. A lot of friends, acquaintances, family members and sponsors have already promised to be there. I hope I'm able to put on a good show for them. A Top Five finish would be great."
