The 2017 ADAC GT Masters team line-up will feature a prominent newcomer in the shape of Schnitzer Motorsport. The outfit led by Charly Lamm and based at Freilassing in Bavaria has contested the DTM for the past five years, winning the title in 2012 with Bruno Spengler. In next year’s Super Sports Car league, they will be fielding a BMW M6 GT3.

Schnitzer Motorsport is a highly successful racing team, having won the DTM several times, the ADAC Supertourenwagen championship in 1998 with Johnny Cecotto and the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1999 with BMW Motorsport. They have celebrated numerous victories around the world with racing cars supplied by BMW.
