Jules Gounon (Callaway Competition, Corvette C7 GT3-R), P1 overall and winner in the Junior class: "I am ecstatic about winning this title. It's unbelievable that we've done it. My thanks to the whole Callaway team. Without them, this success would not have been possible. It was never going to be easy following the previous round at the Sachsenring. After that difficult weekend, we had lost some self-confidence. I tried to pull out a lead during my stint to give Daniel the best possible position when he took over. I was not at all nervous when he was in the car. He simply never makes any mistakes. The Corvette is fantastic, and the whole team has worked incredibly hard."

Daniel Keilwitz (Callaway Competition, Corvette C7 GT3-R), P1 overall and winner in the Junior class: "Towards the end, I had to be vigilant, because the rear tyres were pretty much worn out. But we knew that beforehand, so we tried to build a lead in the first half of the race. It was difficult maintaining the pace, but the lead was ultimately enough. It's wonderful for the team and for Jules to have taken the title. And it's also good for me to come back with a win."

Christopher Mies (Montaplast by Land-Motorsport, Audi R8 LMS), P2 overall: "The race went well. I took over in fourth place and had some enjoyable scraps out there on the track. I overtook Michael Ammermüller at the exit from the pit lane and Luca Ludwig at the entry to the Motodrom. That was fun. It might have taken me five more laps to have closed on the Corvette, but overtaking would have been difficult. Tomorrow is still about the team championship. We'll give it everything we've got."

Connor De Phillippi (Montaplast by Land Motorsport, Audi R8 LMS), P2 overall: "The race was okay. I tried to nurse the tyres, so Chris could attack again towards the end. Ultimately, though, it wasn't quite enough to close on the Corvette."

Luca Stolz (Mercedes-AMG Team ZAKSPEED, Mercedes-AMG GT3), P3 overall and P2 in the Junior class: "We're relatively satisfied. I didn't think we were in such good shape. I put in two really good laps in qualifying and found myself on the front row. But up against the Audi of Christopher Mies, we had no chance in the race itself. We need to analyse the reasons for this. I think our tyre degradation was a little high."

Mathieu Jaminet (KÜS Team75 Bernhard, Porsche 911 GT3 R), P4 overall: "A pity that we didn't make it onto the podium. But once again, we got the maximum out of our package and managed to get ourselves into the Top Five. We had a good strategy, the pit stop was good, and Michi succeeded in keeping our opponents behind him. Fourth place brings in a decent haul of championship points, so after the previous really tough weekend, this also constitutes a really good result. What's more, we don't have to carry any extra weight and, hopefully, can score points again tomorrow."

Michael Ammermüller (KÜS Team75 Bernhard, Porsche 911 GT3 R), P4 overall: "I am quite satisfied. We started from third place but unfortunately lost one position at the pit stop. I was exiting alongside an opponent. He was as good as past me, so there was nothing more I could do. I then drove as fast as I could. The Audi in front of us was faster, and towards the end, I had a fight on my hands with the Lamborghini behind. He was quicker, but I still managed to defend my position. The advantage is that, as the fourth-placed car, we don't have to take any extra weight on board. Maybe we'll be able to do even better tomorrow."

Christian Engelhart (GRT Grasser Racing Team, Lamborghini Huracán GT3), P5 overall and winner in the Trophy class: "I am very satisfied. That was the maximum we were going to get today. The first start was chaotic. Overtaking was difficult with our top straight-line speed. I benefited from an overtaking manoeuvre that Markus Winkelhock made against a Mercedes and I managed to get past both of them. Then I chased after the Porsche, but didn't have any chance of getting past it."

Rolf Ineichen (GRT Grasser Racing Team, Lamborghini Huracán GT3), P5 overall and winner in the Trophy class: "The first start was very chaotic. I got away well and then spun. We were really lucky that we were not hit anywhere. Unfortunately, our sister car was severely damaged in the crash. The race was good after that. I couldn't get past an Audi during my stint, so we made an early stop and tried the undercut. Christian subsequently moved up two places. We'll now look to tomorrow. I hope that we'll be able to do something."

Christopher Haase (Montaplast by Land-Motorsport, Audi R8 LMS), P8 overall and third in Junior class: "We had some problems with the rear tyres over the distance, so we had to nurse them a bit. That made me lose a bit of time at the start of my stint. Things got better again towards the end."

Jeffrey Schmidt (Montaplast by Land-Motorsport, Audi R8 LMS), P8 overall and third place in Junior class: "My race was spectacular. Things were chaotic during the first start. I gained two places and then suddenly, there was a green Lambo in front of me. I avoided him by going through the grass. Fortunately, there was the red flag and a restart. After that, I was able to keep the BMW behind me in check for quite some time, but in the end, it went past me. I think that moving up the field from P11 to 8 is not too bad. Tomorrow will be all about securing second place overall in the Junior class. I'm just one point behind Luca Stolz."

Adrien de Leener (KÜS Team75 Bernhard, Porsche 911 GT3 R), P16 overall and P8 in the Junior class: "What a pity. We had a really strong car yesterday. Unfortunately, we got hit today in qualifying and had to start from the back. We then did a good job, kept out of all the aggro, were competitive on track and finished in 16th place. That was the maximum we were going to get from our starting position."

Patrick Assenheimer (Mercedes-AMG Team HTP Motorsport, Mercedes-AMG GT3), DNF: "It was a chain reaction. At the first start, I wanted to stay out of any trouble, and that worked for the first two corners. But when I was exiting Turn 3, I saw a Lamborghini straddled across the track, so I immediately came off the accelerator. Then someone braked in front of us, which caused me to drive into the Corvette and another Lamborghini to drive into me. It was clear to me that the car had really suffered badly."

Remo Lips (MRS GT-Racing, Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3), DNF and winner of the 2017 Trophy championship: "It's always nice to win a title, especially when you get it for the second time in a row. I would obviously have liked to win it on the track. We'll celebrate anyway - but only after the second race. The whole MRS GT Racing team has done a great job throughout the season."
