Connor De Phillippi (Montaplast by Land-Motorsport, Audi R8 LMS): "The race went well. We started from pole position and didn't make any mistakes. By the time we came into the pits, we had already established a small lead. The driver change went according to plan. Chris then drove very well, and it was only when the safety car came out towards the end that the situation became tighter. The race tomorrow should be another exciting one. But I'm confident that Chris will do just as good a job again and that we will be scoring more points. Hopefully, we'll make it into the Top Five."
Christopher Mies (Montaplast by Land-Motorsport, Audi R8 LMS): "It was a good race. After the change of driver, I went out onto the track as race leader with a gap of about two seconds. After that, I had bad luck with the traffic and I picked up some dirt on my tyres, as a result of which I lost time. Fortunately, the safety car came out, which allowed the tyres to recover."
Yelmer Buurman (Mercedes-AMG Team ZAKSPEED, Mercedes-AMG GT3), P2 overall and winner in Junior class: "That was a perfect race. Nicolai did a superb job and handed the car over to me lying in second place after a great start. I just had to get it over the finish line after that."
Nicolai Sylvest (Mercedes-AMG Team ZAKSPEED, Mercedes-AMG GT3), P2 overall and winner in Junior class: "It did me a lot of good to secure second place. My motivation has been suffering a bit recently. I feel very comfortable behind the wheel here. I'm looking forward to tomorrow!"
Marvin Kirchhöfer (Mercedes-AMG Team HTP Motorsport, Mercedes-AMG GT3), P3 overall and P2 in Junior class: "We know that Mercedes are strong here, so a podium at my home circuit was, of course, the aim. Unfortunately, we had a problem in the morning with a defective part last week while testing and couldn't put in as much track time as we would have wished. It was obvious today that things wouldn't be easy, so I'm really pleased that we've all done a good job despite all of that and deserve to be on the podium. And, of course, I'm extremely happy to have had a good race here at my local circuit in front of my home fans."
Indy Dontje (Mercedes-AMG Team HTP Motorsport, Mercedes-AMG GT3), P3 overall and P2 in Junior class: "We lined up in P4 on the grid and moved up into 3rd place. We did, however, have a bit of luck on the first lap thanks to the accident. But the speed was also there. Our aim tomorrow remains the same, to score more points. We aim to finish in the Top Five again."
Sheldon van der Linde (Aust Motorsport, Audi R8 LMS), P5 overall and P3 Junior class: "That was a mega-day! My maiden win in the ADAC TCR Germany and now third place and another podium in the Junior standings of the ADAC GT Masters. I went straight from the TCR podium to the ADAC GT Masters grid. What a crazy way to carry on! It's great to finish on the podium along with my brother. Many thanks to Aust Motorsport for giving me this opportunity and get well soon Markus Pommer."
Kelvin van der Linde (Aust Motorsport, Audi R8 LMS), P5 overall and P3 in Junior class: "I'm very satisfied with the result. I was very nervous before the start, to be honest. It was the first flying start Sheldon had ever done, but he did it very well and even gained three places. When I took over, I fought hard with Jamie Green immediately right after the exit from the pits, but I think it was fair. A podium was not possible today with the 30 kilos of additional weight after the win at the Nürburgring. Things should go better tomorrow without the extra ballast."
Maximilian Hackländer (RWT Racing, Corvette C7 GT3), P15 overall, winner Trophy class: "Sven struggled initially to get past the cars in front of him. He was a little bit faster. I just tried to do my best to drive as fast as possible when I took over the car in order to secure the win in the Trophy standings but stayed well away from all the scraps."
Sven Barth (RWT Racing, Corvette C7 GT3), P15 overall, winner Trophy class: "The start saw me move straight up the field into P16. Maximilian then did the best he could, but whether it's enough to take the title in the Trophy standings remains to be seen."
