Audi for young talent Ortmann in ADAC GT Masters: 17-year-old to line up for newcomers BWT Mücke Motorsport

The young apprentice automotive mechatronics engineer will drive an Audi R8 for Team BWT Mücke Motorsport. Ortmann is already familiar with the Berlin-based racing outfit from his time in formula motor racing. The ADAC Berlin Brandenburg Sportsman of the Year completed his first Formula 4 test drive for Mücke in 2014 and successfully competed in the ADAC Formula 4 for the squad led by Peter Mücke during the following two years. He proved his class last season by finishing third in the hard-fought series.

Ortmann: "I think I'm ready for the next step. I'm really looking forward to this new role. I'm well placed with Mücke Motorsport to continue on my way to a successful career in professional motor racing."

Ortmann will be sitting in his new racing car for the first time in a couple of days' time, ready to post his first test kilometres. A thorough 'shakedown' for the series will take place in the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben with the official test drives, 11th - 12th April. On the last weekend in April, Ortmann will then contest his first races in the Audi R8 LMS during the Super Sports Car League season opener at the same venue.
