An honour and a privilege for Lucas Auer: Force India are the first Formula 1 outfit to offer the Austrian the opportunity to test a Grand Prix racing car. "This is great news - the most beautiful moment in my life," says Auer. "It's a childhood dream come true." On 1st and 2nd August, in the week following the Hungarian Grand Prix, Auer will climb into the cockpit of a Force India VMJ10 at the Hungaroring. Immediately afterwards, he will travel to the Nürburgring, where he is due to make his next appearance in the ADAC GT Masters on the fifth race weekend of the series.

In his debut in the Super Sports Car League at the Red Bull Ring, Auer and co-driver Sebastian Asch in a Mercedes-AMG GT3 entered by BWT Mücke Motorsport finished fourth on Saturday and second on Sunday. However, the main focus for the 22-year-old from Kufstein in Austria is the DTM, in which he competes for the Mercedes-Benz team. He is currently second in the DTM drivers' championship after eight races.
