These two young talents from the ADAC’s formula racing development programme are set to complete HTP Motorsport’s squad of drivers in the ADAC GT Masters. Marvin Kirchhöfer is moving into GT racing from GP2 and will now line up alongside Dutch driver Indy Dontje in a Mercedes AMG GT3.
Kirchhöfer and Dontje have already been team-mates before. They were in the same squad in the Formel ADAC back in 2012 when Kirchhöfer won the title and was voted ADAC Junior Motorsports Person of the Year while Dontje placed seventh. Kirchhöfer subsequently concentrated on a career in single-seater racing, and this will be his first GT race in the season opener of the ADAC GT Masters at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, 28th - 30th April. Dontje, however, has already gained some GT experience during the last two years, but this will also be his first time in the Super Sports Car League.
Maximilian Götz and Patrick Assenheimer will share the second Mercedes-AMG GT3 fielded by HTP Motorsport, who are returning to the ADAC GT Masters this year after a one-season break.
