Austrian driver Eng is currently second in the standings. Engelhart had placed second earlier in FP1. "So far, so good," said the Lamborghini works driver, who also set the best lap time of the day. "We are very well sorted here. The car was really great. In the end, we focused on a one-stop practice and made another outing on fresh tyres."
Markus Winkelhock & Filip Salaquarda in the best-placed Audi R8 took third place from the Mercedes AMG of Indy Dontje & Marvin Kirchhöfer behind the second-placed Schnitzer BMW. Fifth place went to Ezequiel Perez Companc & Mirko Bortolotti in the second Lamborghini fielded by GRT Grasser Racing Team. Mike David Ortmann & Frank Stippler in the second Audi R8 prepared by BWT Mücke Motorsport placed sixth.
Championship leader Jules Gounon and partner Daniel Keilwitz were 17th in their Corvette C7. Sebastian Asch in third place overall also still has a chance of lifting the title and is back racing with Stefan Mücke in the Mercedes AMG. He placed 23rd.
