Lamborghini Huracán is bestseller: More than 200 cars sold in two years

Lamborghini's Squadra Corse sports division has set a new record, producing more than 200 GT racing cars in two years - including the Huracán GT3 which took a race win and two podiums in its first full year in the ADAC GT Masters last season.

"We would like to thank all the many customer teams for having confidence in us. The figures certainly prove that the Huracán is an interesting sports car," said Lamborghini Motorsport boss Giorgio Sanna. The Huracán's 500-bhp engine is based on the standard production model. Lamborghini drivers use paddles to change up and down the six-speed sequential close-ratio gearbox. There's an adjustable rear spoiler as well as air intakes and diffusers front and back to ensure maximum traction at all circuits.

The Italian super sports car was one of the most popular in the 2016 ADAC GT Masters season. After the Audi R8 LMS, the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 was the second-most popular super sports car in the field. No less than four teams - GRT Grasser Racing, Bonaldi Motorsport, HB Racing and Team Attempto Racing - utilised the GT3 racing car. At least three teams are planning to field the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 next season.
