MRS GT Racing will be embarking on the 2018 ADAC GT Masters season with two new vehicles. At the end of a three-year commitment to the Nissan GT-R GT3, the outfit led by Dorr and Karsten Molitor is now changing its allegiance to BMW. They plan to field two M6 GT3s, but the identity of the four drivers is yet to be announced. MRS will begin a test programme with the BMW in southern Spain during the month of February.
Karsten Molitor: "Over the last few months, we have held discussions with various manufacturers, and we came to the conclusion that BMW offered us the best basis for being able to compete with the top teams in the ADAC GT Masters again. During our many years working with McLaren and Nissan, we have acquired a certain familiarity with handling turbo vehicles, and we hope that we can use this expertise to our advantage. The BMW M6 GT3 is a highly advanced GT3 car and has all the factors for success. We are very much looking forward to the new challenge, and we are sure that this is a winning combination that will take us back to the top."
