PS Profi star, Jean Pierre 'JP' Kraemer will soak up the atmosphere on the pit wall at the ADAC GT Masters next year. The TV/Internet star is part of a new Porsche team set to race in the 2018 ADAC GT Masters with Lucas Luhr and Jan-Erik Slooten. The ADAC GT Masters season will kick off in the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben on the weekend of 13th - 15th April 2018. SPORT1 will broadcast all the races live and in full.
JP Kraemer and Jan-Erik Slooten both wanted to take things further after working together on a project in this year's ADAC Zurich 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. The two have been friends for many years and will field a Porsche 911 GT3 R in the 2018 ADAC GT Masters. Slooten has been successful with his team, RING POLICE, for several years now in the Porsche Sports Cup. He will share the Porsche with former FIA GT1 World Champion and DTM driver Lucas Luhr, who is also involved in the planning and organisation of the new team. Luhr and Slooten have not yet decided on a team name for next year.
"Motor racing needs an outfit that's a bit on the wild side with desperado types, who are nevertheless professional. Motorsport can be cool, laid-back and fun, and that's why we're setting up a racing team," said JP Kraemer in a YouTube clip about the new team's launch (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QfZQeXk0hs). "We're getting started and intend to line up with RING POLICE, JP Performance and Lucas Luhr in the ADAC GT Masters which is a very professional, highly competitive race series. When we do something, we do it right, think big."
The team led by Kraemer, Slooten and Luhr aim to put fans in the centre of things and make motor racing more accessible. "Motorsport should go back to what it basically is - fast cars, cool guys having fun in a competitive environment," said Team RING POLICE CEO Jan-Erik Slooten.
