A new face will present the live broadcasts from the ADAC GT Masters on SPORT1 in 2017. Sarah Valentina Winkhaus will host the 14 races of the Super Sports Car League on TV while Patrick Simon will continue in his role as commentator. Once again in 2017, SPORT1 will feature all the races live and in full length at the usual time of 1 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. SPORT1 will also cater for fans of the ADAC Formula 4 and the ADAC TCR Germany by covering their events.
New presenter, Sarah Valentina Winkhaus will be at the track in person to head up broadcasts. Her previous broadcasting experience includes presenting the DTM and other motor racing series on SPORT1's flagship programme, the Home of Motorsport, last season. She has gained plenty of motor sport experience during her TV career and was, for example, the face of Formula 1 for Sky Italia, a role for which she was particularly well suited, having an Italian father.
SPORT1 will cover the entire ADAC GT Masters season which starts this weekend, 28th - 30th April, in the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. SPORT1 will give very detailed coverage of the races with countdown and live analysis. Some ADAC Formula 4 and ADAC TCR Germany races will also be broadcast live on free-to-air TV. Patrick Simon will again act as commentator of the ADAC Formula 4 races while Peter Kohl will spring into action for the rounds of the ADAC TCR Germany. In addition, a 60-minute magazine with highlights from the ADAC GT Masters, ADAC Formula 4 and ADAC TCR Germany will be shown on free-to-air TV at the end of each race weekend.
All ADAC GT Masters, ADAC Formula 4 and ADAC TCR Germany races will also be available as free livestreams for desktop computers/mobile phones at SPORT1.de & adac.de/motorsport and as live broadcasts/recordings on SPORT1+. You can also watch qualifying from the ADAC GT Masters as livestream at SPORT1.de. This multi-media package will be supplemented by extensive coverage via SPORT1.de, SPORT1 apps and the social media channels of SPORT1. There will also be dedicated channels for news, interviews, news columns, videos, picture galleries, plus results and statistics.
