ADAC GT Masters·2.2.2018

Car Collection driver pairing announced: Audi team sign Christopher Friedrich and Lance David Arnold

Friedrich is about to contest his second year in the ADAC GT Masters. In his rookie year, the 23-year-old Business Administration student from Darmstadt drove a Porsche 911 GT3 R, achieving a Top Ten finish in the Junior class: "I am delighted to be competing in the ADAC GT Masters again this year. I made good progress last season, and I'm very happy to be joining Lance and Car Collection Motorsport for the 2018 campaign. I am sure that Lance's experience and that of the team will be very beneficial for me as I take the next step forward in my development this year. I just can't wait for the first official team tests."

Friedrich's team-mate is Lance David Arnold. The former Porsche Junior's last venture into the Super Sports Car League was in 2012. "I'm looking forward to the upcoming programme," said the 31-year-old. "With an experienced team and a young and fast co driver, we have all the right ingredients for an exciting year."

Team principal Peter Schmidt is highly satisfied with his driver pairing: "We are looking forward to returning to the ADAC GT Masters. In Christopher and Lance David, we have recruited two talented contestants. Christopher's development over the past year has been impressive. With Lance at his side, he has the ideal coach and mentor. Lance will be using his tremendous experience to bring the best out of Christopher."
