Championship leaders top the timesheets: The ADAC GT Masters teams were allowed to test their cars at the Hockenheimring on Thursday

The tension is mounting at the Hockenheimring ahead of the two races on Saturday and Sunday that will decide the destination of the ADAC GT Masters title. On Thursday, the drivers and teams seized the golden opportunity of a dress rehearsal extending over three sessions. Robert Renauer and Mathieu Jaminet (Precote Herberth Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R) set the best time of the day, with Marvin Kirchhöfer and Daniel Keilwitz (Callaway Competition, Corvette C7 GT3) not far behind, and Sheldon and Kelvin van der Linde (Montaplast by Land-Motorsport, Audi R8 LMS) in third place.

Championship leaders Jaminet and Renauer set their fastest time in the morning. In the early afternoon session, it was Kevin Estre and Timo Bernhard (KÜS TEAM75 Bernhard, Porsche 911 GT3 R) topping the timesheets. Rolf Ineichen and Christian Engelhart (GRT Grasser-Racing-Team, Lamborghini Huracán GT3) led the classification in the third of the three test sessions.

The final weekend of the ADAC GT Masters will get underway on Friday at 11:10 with a 50-minute free practice session. SPORT1 will be showing the two concluding races of the 2018 campaign from Hockenheim on Saturday starting at 15:00 CEST and on Sunday starting at 13:00 CEST.
