HB Racing announce driver pairing: Ludwig and Schwager to drive Ferrari 488 GT3

More than 100 races, one championship title, twelve wins and almost 30 trophies, with Luca Ludwig, HB Racing have secured the services of one of the most successful drivers ever in the history of the ADAC GT Masters. "It doesn’t take too long to come to a decision as a manager when a driver like him becomes available," said HB Racing Team Director Dietmar Hirsch. "We’ve laid three important cornerstones for a successful 2018 with the switch to Ferrari, the technology partnership with Rinaldi Racing and our new driver pairing."

The team from Neumarkt in Upper Austria have been particularly impressed with Luca Ludwig’s consistency. "Luca achieved at least two podiums in each of his full seasons," said Dietmar Hirsch. "Whether in the Mercedes, the Audi or the Corvette, he was quick in all of them, so we’re pretty certain that Luca will again be among the best in the Ferrari. The first tests were very promising."

Dominik Schwager is also one of the most successful drivers in the Super Sports Car League, having taken six wins from 50 races. "Apart from his speed, what was also key for us is that he’s already had plenty of experience of Ferrari racing cars with our technical partner, Rinaldi Racing," added team manager Andreas Fuchs.

HB Racing’s brand new Ferrari 488 GT3 has been on test since February. "Our first impressions have been very positive," said Andreas Fuchs. "The mechanics and engineers soon adjusted to the new car. We’re now fully focused on set-up work." Their first scraps with the competition will come during official ADAC GT Masters testing from 26th to 28th March at Oschersleben.
