27-year-old Klingmann will share the outfit's BMW M6 GT3 with regular driver Christopher Zöchling at the Motorsport Arena. This will be MRS-GT Racing's first race outing with the GT3 sports car from Munich. The team have fielded Nissans in recent years.

Klingmann competed in the ADAC GT Masters from 2009 to 2015, taking eight race wins and four pole positions. His most successful season was in 2015 when he finished third overall.
