KÜS Team75 Bernhard have already done their homework for the 2019 season. Next year, the team run by Timo and Rüdiger Bernhard will line up with the latest generation 911 GT3 R for their fourth season in the ADAC GT Masters and have already decided on their squad of four drivers. Team owner and Porsche factory driver Timo Bernhard (37) will race at the wheel of car number #17 with ex Porsche Junior Klaus Bachler (27, Austria) while Porsche Young Professional Matteo Cairoli (22, Italy) and Adrien De Leener (29, Belgium) will share the cockpit of the sister car with start number 18.
Continuity is thus maintained. The reigning endurance racing world champion and two-time overall winner of Le Mans, Timo Bernhard, will be at the wheel of a car for his second full season in the ADAC GT Masters. Klaus Bachler was also in the team in 2018 and Adrien De Leener will be starting his third year as a Team75 driver in the ADAC GT Masters. Matteo Cairoli is also no stranger to the team. The young Italian has previously driven for KÜS Team75 Bernhard in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany, in the ADAC GT Masters and in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. In view of their enormous driving and technical prowess, their goal for next season is to be top title contenders.
Apart from the ADAC GT Masters, KÜS Team75 Bernhard also have other commitments and intend to tackle a range of events, including the new ADAC GT4 Germany series with a Porsche Cayman GT4. Details to be announced at a later date.
Timo Bernhard: “It makes me enormously happy and very proud to be returning to the ADAC GT Masters with two vehicles, this time with two of the latest generation Porsche 911 GT3 Rs. I’m very pleased too that I will be lining up for my second season as a driver, partnering Klaus Bachler this time around. He had a very strong season with us in 2018. We’ve also got a great pair of drivers in our second car with Matteo Caroli and Adrien De Leener, who will be with us again for another season. We’re extremely pleased to have got everything sorted at this very early stage. Apart from competing in the ADAC GT Masters, we will also field a Porsche Cayman GT4 in the newly founded ADAC GT4 Germany series which will be contested under the banner of the GT Masters. I think that the series has excellent future prospects.”
Team Manager Klaus Graf: “We’re super pleased to be able to announce our programme to date with our participation in the ADAC GT Masters and in the ADAC GT4 Germany. As far as I’m concerned, it shows that we’re giving our long-standing partners and sponsors a big thumbs-up. Timo will again be an extremely important part of the team with his speed and experience. With our squad of drivers and him at the helm, we’ve got all the ingredients to be top title contenders in the 2019 ADAC GT Masters. He and Klaus in car number 17 make a first-class driver pairing. Klaus earned his place at Timo’s side with his excellent work and strong performances last season. I’m particularly pleased that Adrien will be with us again for a third year. He’s made tremendous progress with Team75. I’m confident that he and Porsche Young Professional Matteo Cairoli will be able to seamlessly build on results from last season in car number 18. Matteo has already had some terrific races with Team75 Bernhard and undoubtedly has enormous talent.”
