Strong partner: The ADAC GT Masters premium series partner kfzteile24 invited around 70 of its employees to Oschersleben for the season opener to watch the first race of the season live. This will be the first season in which the bright orange logo of the market leader for spare parts is displayed in the windscreens of all vehicles contesting the Super Sports Car League.
Anniversary: The ADAC Sports Foundation celebrates its 20th birthday today. The charitable foundation, which received its approval certificate on 15th April 1998, has been successfully bringing on talented young racing drivers ever since. Since it was established, 195 youngsters have received its support and encouragement. Among the best-known of its alumni are Formula 1 drivers past and present Sebastian Vettel, Adrian Sutil, Nico Hülkenberg, Timo Glock, René Rast and Pascal Wehrlein.
Fan TV: Starting this season, a new service will be offered to the spectators at the race tracks hosting the ADAC GT Masters. Fan TV will be shown on giant screens at the circuit on Saturday and Sunday. The class of 2018: The group photo of the ADAC GT Masters drivers at the season opener in Oschersleben has a long tradition in the Super Sports Car League. On Sunday morning, the drivers of the eight brands contesting this year's championship assembled with ADAC Sports President Hermann Tomczyk, ADAC Managing Director Lars Soutschka and ADAC Motorsport Director Thomas Voss for the customary group portrait.
Award: Audi driver Kelvin van der Linde (21, ZA, Montaplast by Land-Motorsport) was named Motor Sportsman of the Year 2017 in his homeland of South Africa in the week leading up to the season opener at Oschersleben. It is the third time since 2013 and 2014 that the 2014 ADAC GT Masters champion has been selected for the award by the South African Motor Journalists' Guild. Other nominees included his brother and team-mate Sheldon van der Linde (18, ZA).
Impressive images: The fans can look forward to even more spectacular onboard recordings this season in the ADAC GT Masters. In addition to the cameras in the racing cars themselves, there are also pictures from the safety car for the first time.
