Phoenix Racing welcome a new regular driver to their squad in the shape of Philip Ellis. The 25-year-old Brit who now lives in Switzerland is about to contest his first season in the ADAC GT Masters with the Meuspath-based outfit and has also been signed up for the Audi Junior programme. Ellis has already proven his ability by winning the 2017 Audi Sport TT Cup and more recently by securing victory in the GT4 class at the 24 Hours of Dubai. In the ADAC GT Masters, he will be driving an Audi R8 LMS. Ellis joins Oscar Tunjo as the second of four drivers to be announced by Phoenix Racing as they prepare to make their comeback in the ADAC GT Masters.
"A childhood dream has come true, and I couldn't imagine a better team for it," said Philip Ellis. "I'm very happy and excited about the prospect of working with Phoenix Racing for the next few years. In Dubai, the chemistry between the team and me was already at the same level, and we were working towards common goals. I can't wait to start the new season. I feel I am in good hands with the new challenges ahead. I'd like to thank the whole team and especially Ernst Moser for the confidence they are putting in me. I hope we are able to continue the successful work we have started in Dubai."
