Phoenix Racing complete their driver quartet: Ivan Lukashevich shares Audi R8 LMS with Oscar Tunjo

The 26-year-old Russian is about to make his debut in the Super Sports Car League. He aims to gain experience and be in contention for championship points in his rookie campaign: "I'm really looking forward to the upcoming season. Even as a child, I dreamed of one day competing in a field as high-calibre as the ADAC GT Masters. I know it's not going to be easy for me, but I will work hard and do my best every time. I’m sure I’ll have a good season together with Phoenix Racing."

The 26-year-old Muscovite began his career in karting. He subsequently switched to Formula racing and in 2010 to the newly established GP3 series. Thereafter, he contested various touring car and GT competitions, including in the Mitjet Series Russia. At Phoenix Racing, Lukashevich will be sharing the cockpit of an Audi R8 LMS GT3 with Colombia's Oscar Tunjo.

Phoenix Racing are now all set for the upcoming 2018 ADAC GT Masters. The second of the two Audis entered by the team will be driven by Max Hofer and Philip Ellis. Team boss Ernst Moser is sounding upbeat about the challenge ahead: "We are looking forward to starting the new season of the ADAC GT Masters with a strong squad of drivers. In Ivan Lukashevich, we welcome another talented driver on board, one who has already given ample proof of his skill in various junior series."
