The Czech team got to the end of an intense season and, despite this being its maiden full campaign in the highly competitive German series for GT cars, the team managed to claim one win and several good placings. At the Hockenheimring, Team ISR will field once again regular drivers Filip Salaquarda and Frank Stippler on the n.33 Audi R8 LMS. Both drivers are resolute to end the season on a high.
One of the most famous race tracks in Germany, Hockenheimring is located between Frankfurt and Stuttgart. Its configuration was modified back in 2002 and the new layout makes it the longest circuit of the whole season with its 4.574 meters. After the start/finish line, the drivers will have to face the Nordkurve and then the braking of turn two, both strategic places for overtaking attempts. The long Parabolika straight leads then to the tight Hairpin that proceeds to the closing part of the circuit. After the Mercedes corner, drivers will get into the most famous sector of the circuit: the Motodrom. Its corners remained the same of the historic circuit and lead back on to the main straight.
Igor Salaquarda (Team ISR principal): "The closing round of the season is always special, and this is more so as it marks the end of the first full campaign in ADAC GT Masters for Team ISR. After Sachsenring, the whole team is focused on ending the season on a high, but we are aware that we will need to be on top of things since the beginning. The championship winners are in fact still to be named and several drivers will push hard to be in front. We will not hold anything back either and will try to get the most of this exciting weekend from free practice".
