The colours of the Czech outfit was represented by Filip Salaquarda and Frank Stippler, that have shown all their value behind the wheel of the n.33 Audi R8 LMS.
The double round in Oschersleben was made more tricky and uncertain by weather conditions that forced drivers to adapt their driving style to the wet track first and then to the dry, starting from free practice. I.S.R. racing's pairing collected important data in practice to set-up the car for qualifying and Salaquarda closed Q1 with a best lap of 1m 24.851s, that earned him P12, while Stippler put in a 1m 24.070s in Q2 ending 18th.
Race one was run on Saturday afternoon and Salaquarda drove wisely from the start to the initial stages and throughout his stint, which allowed him to get some ground back and to reach the pit stop in ninth place. Back on track, Stippler continued this progression effectively and reaching P8, a position that he kept all the way to the flag. Stewards excluded the n.63 car from the classification at the end of the race though, which shuffled the final order and promoted the Team ISR Audi to seventh place.
Race two has been less positive though. Stippler put in a solid start from the ninth row but had to retire shortly afterwards due to a contact which caused a puncture during the first lap.
Igor Salaquarda (Team Principal): "The balance of this first ADAC GT Masters 2018 weekend is overall positive. We showed a good pace, the whole team has done a great job in the difficult conditions of qualifying on Saturday and both Filip and Frank drove wisely in race one, managing to recover four places. Unfortunately, the excursion in race two prevented us from scoring what I believe would have been another important result, but the championship is long and we will certainly have the chance to bounce back."
