Zakspeed driver Sylvest fastest on Friday : Dane secures best time at Sachsenring in Mercedes-AMG

With his fastest lap of 1:19.545 minutes, the Dane, who shares the drive in the Mercedes-AMG with Kim-Luis Schramm, was almost 0.4 seconds quicker than Audi driver Christopher Mies had been in FP1. “I drove here for the first time three years ago and loved the track right from the start – it really suits me,” said the 21-year-old. “I especially like the changes in elevation and the fast passages. I felt comfortable here from the start and that is reflected in my hot time. I hope I can continue in the same vein tomorrow. Perhaps we can even find another tenth of a second or two for qualifying. Our goal is a place in the Top Ten.”

Second place in second practice went to Sheldon and Kelvin van der Linde from Montaplast by Land-Motorsport in the fastest Audi R8 LMS. The deficit on Sylvest was 0.118 seconds. Robert Renauer and Mathieu Jaminet from Precote Herberth Motorsport took P3 in their Porsche 911 GT3 R. They are currently in second place in the standings.

Maro Engel is back in the ADAC GT Masters, partnering Patrick Assenheimer. They finished fourth in the AutoArenA-Mercedes-AMG. Timo Bernhard and Kévin Estre in the KÜS Team75 Bernhard 911 completed the Top Five.

Championship leaders Markus Pommer and Maximilian Götz finished eighth in the Mercedes-AMG fielded by Mann-Filter Team HTP.
