The 18-year-old, who is once again the youngest driver in this year's ADAC GT Masters, is sharing a Montaplast by Land-Motorsport Audi with Belgian driver, Dries Vanthoor, for the first time in 2019. Vanthoor took the first stint and pitted the R8 LMS in fourth place. Feller went back out on track in P2, as two other drivers lost position during their stops. Initially, he put pressure on defending champion Robert Renauer in the Porsche, who was in the lead before having to ease off. He was 1.5 seconds adrift of first place at the finish.
"That was a good start to my 2019 ADAC GT Masters season," said Feller. "It's my first podium in the overall standings. I'm mega happy. Second place in the overall rankings and first place in the Pirelli Junior stakes. A big thank you to everyone in the team. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the year."
Victory in the Pirelli Trophy classification went to Lamborghini driver Rolf Ineichen. The Swiss driver took over the Huracán GT3 Evo in third place overall from his new partner Franck Perera and went on to achieve a comfortable win in the Trophy stakes. This is the 26th Trophy victory of his career. "Up until now, our weekend has been a bit of a mess, and we've had to work really hard in order to be at all competitive," said Ineichen. "The rain in qualifying played into our hands, though. Had it been dry, we would never have been able to achieve such a good result. Overtaking here is very difficult. Franck did an excellent job of pitting the car in fourth place. We were even able to gain position during the stop. Unfortunately, our sister car had a puncture, but that made it possible for us to move up one more place. Of course, we're very pleased with P3, but it's a pity for the team, as our sister car deserved to take P1. Winning the Pirelli Trophy classification obviously makes me feel very happy and even a little bit proud."
