The 2018 champions will contest their seventh season in the Super Sports Car League, but with a changed driver pairing and a different livery. The identity of the new partner for established driver Robert Renauer in the Porsche 911 GT3 R is still to be announced.
"We are very happy to be taking another crack at the ADAC GT Masters this year," says Robert Renauer. "The line-up for 2019 is as high-calibre as it was last year, so defending our title is certainly not going to be an easy matter. But as a team we are extremely well set up, and we will be doing our utmost to turn ambitions into deeds."
As in previous years, Robert Renauer will be driving a Porsche 911 GT3 R. After finishing the 2013 championship as runner-up and taking the title in 2018, the 34-year-old from Jedenhofen near Munich has set himself a clear target for the 2019 season of battling for victories and podium finishes – and ultimately retaining his title.
In the 2018 season, Precote Herberth Motorsport were the most consistent team in the ADAC GT Masters, scoring points in 11 out of 14 races – a better record than anyone else in the field. It was this consistency that proved decisive in the end. On a tense final weekend, Robert Renauer and Mathieu Jaminet secured the championship by the slenderest of margins – a single point. In 2019, the outfit led by Robert and Alfred Renauer will be fielding a car sporting a new black-and-red livery and proudly bearing the start number 1.
