ADAC GT Masters·20.3.2019

IronForce by RING POLICE to continue in GT Masters: Jan-Erik Slooten and Lucas Luhr will pair up again as drivers

The German team contested their debut season in the ADAC GT Masters last year and immediately attracted a lot of attention both on and off track with three wins in the Pirelli Trophy classification and with ideas like a viewing area in the pits and peek-behind-the-scenes YouTube video clips that quickly made them firm fan favourites.

The team will compete again in 2019 with the driver pairing of Jan-Erik Slooten and former GT World Champion Lucas Luhr at the wheel of a new Porsche 911 GT3 R which they have already tested at a number of circuits, including Paul Ricard and the Nürburgring.

"We're going to continue with our usual programme and stick with the ADAC GT Masters," said 34-year-old Jan-Erik Slooten. "Lucas and I will drive again." He is a real fan of the new 911: "The new Porsche has made enormous progress, especially where aerodynamics are concerned but also in terms of safety and technology with its electro-hydraulic clutch, for example. This new car will give us plenty of fresh opportunity to achieve success. We're also planning more exciting activities with old and new partners."
