Mann-Filter Team HTP: Driver quartet now in place: Maximilian Götz and Indy Dontje stay with Mann-Filter Team HTP for 2019 campaign

On the basis of two strong driver duos, the acknowledged all-round qualities of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 and the experienced HTP Motorsport pit crew, Mann-Filter Team HTP have set themselves the target of winning the drivers’ title in the 2019 Super Sports Car League.

After recruiting two Juniors, Fabian Vettel (20) from Heppenheim and Philip Ellis (26) from Zug in Switzerland, they have now announced the pairing for the second ‘Mamba’. Maximilian Götz (33) from Uffenheim and Indy Dontje (26) from Alkmaar are two GT3 veterans who already drove in the yellow-green Mann-Filter livery last year. Victories at Most and at the Nürburgring in 2018 are testimony to their championship pretensions.

“Max and Indy are among the fastest GT drivers in Europe,” says HTP team principal Norbert Brückner. “Both have a lot of experience; they know the car, the team and the series very well and have shown on several previous occasions what great potential they have. Not least, because they are both strong qualifiers. In a race series in which there may sometimes be only a second between the 30 fastest cars in qualifying, this is of crucial importance. I consider them to be one of the strongest driver pairings in the entire championship.”

Jörg Engels, Director Brand Management Automotive Aftermarket at MANN+HUMMEL concurs: “In Max, Indy, Philip and Fabian, we have a driver quartet that not only has what it takes to successfully defend our ADAC GT Masters team title but also – with a bit of luck early on – could challenge for the drivers’ championship. We’re going into the new season with lots of anticipation and confidence. Every single member of the team is burning with ambition and has one thought in mind: full attack mode in the title chase.”
