In the light of post-race scrutineering following the ADAC GT Masters at the Nürburgring (16th-18th August), the #82 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo from Orange 1 by GRT Grasser was disqualified on Friday, September 13th, and the stewards of the German Motor Sport Federation (DMSB) have removed it from the standings for the ninth and tenth rounds of the season. Apparently, the geometry of the air-intake restrictor on the #82 Lamborghini does not conform to the part kept for reference purposes nor does it match the drawings of the component submitted as part of the vehicle classification process.
The air-intake restrictor on car #82 Lamborghini was sealed at the Nürburgring during technical inspection and checked after the second race. As a result, the #82 Lamborghini has been disqualified from both races by the stewards for being in breach of Article 28.3 of the ADAC GT Masters Sporting Regulations.
The cars behind move up the rankings, so Timo Bernhard and Klaus Bachler are the new winners of the tenth race of the season in the Porsche 911 GT3 fielded by KÜS Team75 Bernhard followed by championship leaders, Kelvin van der Linde and Patric Niederhauser, in the Audi R8 LMS from HCB-Rutronik Racing. Maro Engel and Luca Stolz in the Toksport WRT-Mercedes-AMG GT3 now third.
The results of the ADAC GT Masters race at the Nürburgring remain provisional, since Orange 1 by GRT Grasser have announced their intention to appeal against the decision.
