Pit stop in Stuttgart: In the run-up to the second race weekend of the ADAC GT Masters season at the Autodrom Most on Friday, Fabian Vettel (21, GER, Mann-Filter Team HTP) and the driver with the most starts in the series, Sebastian Asch (32, GER, HB Racing), were at Dekra in Stuttgart for a press conference with media representatives where they spoke about the upcoming weekend.

For GT3 rookie Fabian Vettel, his race debut in the ADAC GT Masters in Oschersleben was mainly about getting to quickly know his new environment, the team and the car and from all angles: "This is my very first season in a GT3 car and first in a Mercedes-AMG. It's been great fun even though it's meant getting to grips with much that is new. But while some things didn't really go as hoped, it's left me looking forward to the next races all the more." Vettel has not yet driven at the track in Most, but nevertheless, thinks he's well prepared: "I've trained intensively in the simulator during the weeks since Oschersleben and have studied onboard recordings from last year. Every driver has his own tactics." From a personal point of view, the GT3 rookie sees continual improvement as the main route to success this season: "Obviously at some point, I would like to contend for victories and podiums. To get there, we have to give it all we can right now, and that's our goal for the upcoming races. Our car should go well at Most, and we hope finally to be able to show its potential on the track as well."

Sebastian Asch recently celebrated his 150th start in the ADAC GT Masters at Oschersleben. No other driver has lined up more times in the series than the two-time champion and ten-time runner-up. The season opener for the only Ferrari 488 GT3 in the field was mediocre at Oschersleben, but Asch is confident about the races to come in Most: "Knowing the track as I do and being well aware of how our car is currently performing, I'm pretty certain that we can be competitive at Most. The fast and fluid nature of the course should definitely suit us."

Asch has previously competed in the ADAC GT Masters with Lamborghini, Porsche, Mercedes-AMG and Audi but is driving a Ferrari for the first time this year. He shares the cockpit with Luca Ludwig at HB Racing, with whom he won the title in 2015. "After having won the championship previously with Luca [Ludwig], I see it now as a good opportunity to make our comeback as a double act. Besides, deep down, I'm very attached to Italian cars, so the emotional side of things was quite a big consideration," said Asch.
