Bentley returns to ADAC GT Masters : T3 Motorsport will field a Continental GT3

Bentley are back! Fans of the ADAC GT Masters can look forward to the return of the premier British brand. T3 Motorsport will field a Continental GT3 for the first time this season. On Sunday, the team from Germany’s east talked about their amazing new addition in the current, online edition of PS on Air – The Ravenol ADAC GT Masters Talk Show. Bentley will be the eighth brand to compete in the 2020 ADAC GT Masters as the second-generation Continental GT3 makes its first outing in the series. Apart from the Bentley, T3 will continue to race an Audi R8 LMS and also presented their final designs and introduced the R8’s crew on Sunday.

"The announcement about our programme with the Bentley will certainly have taken everyone by surprise,” said Team Principal, Jens Feucht. “We’re proud to have been selected as Bentley’s new partner and be the only team in Germany allowed to race the Continental GT3. The car is pretty awesome. Even though I think our first year with the Bentley will be spent learning on the job, so to speak, I’m fairly certain that we’ll cause quite a stir."

"Welcome back, Bentley! To have such a famous newcomer in our midst, especially in these difficult times, speaks volumes for the ADAC GT Masters,” said ADAC Motorsport Director Thomas Voss. “Bentley have a great motor racing heritage and make a fine addition to any race series. With vehicles from eight manufacturers in all, the ADAC GT Masters can offer an unrivalled range of different brands this year, which also serves to emphasise its status internationally as a leading championship."

For Bentley, this involvement with T3 Motorsport represents a return to the ADAC GT Masters, as the British cars lined up in the Super Sports Car League back in 2015 and 2016. The first incarnation of the Continental GT3 quickly became a firm favourite with fans, taking one win and four pole positions. The current generation of the GT3 muscle car was launched in 2018 and won the Bathurst 12 Hours in February.

Moving up from the ADAC GT4 Germany, Constantin Schöll (21, AUT) has already been selected to share the drive in the Bentley Continental GT3 which will carry the number #72. T3 Motorsport are currently having talks with potential team-mates.

In addition to the Bentley, T3 Motorsport will continue in the ADAC GT Masters with an Audi R8 LMS which will have a striking, new design for 2020. The outfit from Radebeul near Dresden will be the only one in the field to deploy cars from two different manufacturers this year. "We really enjoy working with Audi and intend to continue," said Jens Feucht, who is also increasing his outfit’s involvement in the ADAC GT4 Germany this year. "We want to benefit from the experience we gained with the R8 last season and regularly achieve finishes in the Top Ten," he added. Maximilian Paul (20, GER) will drive the Audi again. His new partner is Niels Langeveld (32) from the Netherlands, who finished third overall in the ADAC TCR Germany in 2018 and was a works driver with Audi in the FIA WTCR last year.
