The team is highly motivated and fully focused on its objective of regular finishes in the Top Ten. To this end, they have brought in Erik Johansson from Sweden. The 24-year-old, who was selected as a BMW Junior in 2019, will share a cockpit with Jens Klingmann at the Nürburgring next weekend. The BMW works driver surprised everyone at the Lausitzring with his recovery in record time from two broken wrists. His injury has now fully healed.
Team principal Karsten Molitor: "The Lausitzring was a bitter disappointment for the team. We hope that we have had our full dose of bad luck for the season there, and we now look forward to the challenge ahead with confidence. We are very pleased that we have succeeded in signing another BMW works driver. I had the pleasure of watching Erik in the Italian GT Championship at Monza last year. I’m sure he will strengthen our team."
