Erik Johansson (MRS GT-Racing, BMW M6 GT3), P1 overall and winner of the Pirelli Junior classification: "It is a fantastic feeling to be celebrating my first victory in the ADAC GT Masters, especially with this being the 200th race of the series. Jens did an outstanding job in the first stint. It was a big advantage to be taking over the car at halftime in first position. My main task was to drive as safely as possible and not to make any mistakes that might have cost us a lot of time. It's a pity not to see two BMWs on the podium again, but our car felt very good again today. Two podiums for MRS GT-Racing are a great result. That really boosts your self-confidence."
Jens Klingmann (MRS GT-Racing, BMW M6 GT3), P1 overall: "I have contested more than half of all ADAC GT Masters races in recent years, so it is obviously a very special achievement to have won the 200th race. Our best chance was to pass the Lamborghini pole-sitter right at the start of the race and manage the pace as cleverly as possible from there on. Thanks to a great start, the strategy worked out well. I was able to look after the tyres effectively, so that we went into the second stint well prepared. During the second half, I was much more nervous as a spectator than I had been in the car. As for the remaining races of the season, we're hoping to carry forward the momentum and deliver a few more star performances."
Michael Ammermüller (SSR Performance, Porsche 911 GT3 R), P2 overall: "Thanks to excellent timing, I got off to a very good start and was able to take a lot of momentum into the first corner. It was quite tricky there because the field was very tight. Nevertheless, we were able to tackle the rest of the race in third place. The BMW was extremely fast on the straights, so our only chance to have made an overtaking move was on the corners. But at the end of the day, we never got within striking distance."
Christian Engelhart (SSR Performance, Porsche 911 GT3 R), P2 overall: "After our pit stop, we started well into the second half of the race, the gaps were close but still enough. Towards the end of the race, we managed to close the gap on the leader even more thanks to our strong pace, but our priority was to get through the race without making any mistakes. Anyway, I am well satisfied with the result. It's a pity that we won’t be racing at Zandvoort, but the Lausitzring was a good place for us. The season should stay exciting right up to the end."
Maro Engel (Toksport WRT, Mercedes-AMG GT3), P3 overall: "This result was a bit unexpected for us, so we are very happy with the podium. As the Red Bull Ring does not really suit our car, and third place today was a real team effort. We were involved in a few minor collisions at the start - there were a lot of cars around us, especially on the straights which are very fast. With regard to the last four races, the championship is still completely open. At the Lausitzring much earlier in the season, the lap times were extremely close, and with so many potential contenders, the title challenge this time is turning out to be a really exciting one."
Luca Stolz (Toksport WRT, Mercedes-AMG GT3), P3 overall: "After a superb qualifying performance and a good start by Maro (Engel), the challenge in the second half of the race was to stay in the lead group. Thanks to a well-timed undercut at the pit stop, I was able to push hard straight away. We had the glimmer of a chance to get to the front, but the Porsche had the slightly better pace at the end of the day. We were constantly having to defend ourselves to the rear, but our car gave us the edge coming out of the corners and we were able to use the traction of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 to maintain our position."
David Jahn (Küs Team75 Bernhard, Porsche 911 GT3 R), P11 overall: "After the pit stop, I had a few minor skirmishes, which was a lot of fun. The pace was good - we can be satisfied with that. The fact is that we need to be starting nearer the front if we are to achieve better results. We have to work on our quali pace. We are determined to get something out of the two remaining weekends."
Jannes Fittje (Küs Team75 Bernhard, Porsche 911 GT3 R), P11 overall, P4 in Pirelli Junior class): "P25 in qualifying was of course not optimal; we hadn't been expecting that, but I didn't maximise the potential. The first few laps were a bit hectic. But we had discussed before the race that we would play it safe. I stuck to the plan and made a great effort to respect the track limits - that was a big issue today. The pit stop was good, David drove a clean race, kept to the track limits, had good pace, and in the end, we finished eleventh."
