Markus Pommer (29, GER, Callaway Competition): „It was an optimal day. We have made further improvements to the car since the tests, and I am very satisfied. I hope that we are capable of reproducing that sort of lap time in qualifying. That’s when everyone will be showing what they really can do. Anyway, let’s see where we end up.“
Dennis Marschall (23, GER, Rutronik Racing): „It’s nice to finish the last practice session right at the front. We did a lot of driving together in the preseason test and also today to make sure we have the best possible package, and that has paid off. I am very happy with the way the day has gone, and especially with that last session. Tomorrow’s quali is of course a different matter, but the objective is a Top Five result. If that’s where we end up, I’ll be happy.“
Christian Engelhart (33, GER, SSR Performance): „We made good use of the time today and were able to practice a lot of things such as pit stops. We are now very much looking forward to the opening race tomorrow. We are feeling highly optimistic and motivated. Tomorrow, we will see where we stand. That’s always very exciting, of course. We’ve had to wait such a long time for everything to start up again, so now it’s extremely tense.“
Mirko Bortolotti (30, ITA, Team WRT): „I am feeling quite satisfied with the day. We tried out various things and did plenty of long runs in the afternoon. Rolf (Ineichen) drove a lot of kilometres. He will also be our driver in qualifying tomorrow. I hope we can secure a decent grid position.“
Philip Ellis (27, GB, Knaus Team HTP-Winward Motorsport): „It all went very well. We tried out a lot of different things. In the first session, we were right up there at the front. That was positive. In the second session, we were working on our race pace. I think we are well prepared. I'm optimistic and I’m not too worried about not being instantly among the front-runners.“
