Nick Yelloly (Schubert Motorsport, BMW M6 GT3): "I am very satisfied with my lap time and with how the car feels. We know that the track suits the BMW. It is important to get the maximum out of the car if we are to achieve the best possible result. In the wet this morning, I made a mistake and clipped the track barrier, so I was determined to make up for that. The team has hit on a great setup, and I am now looking forward to the next couple of days. Hopefully, it will stay dry and we will be able to post a decent result."
Ricardo Feller (BWT Mücke Motorsport, Audi R8 LMS): "I am very happy with the performance. We were struggling a bit in the wet, but our car works very well in the dry. That's why I'm feeling upbeat about tomorrow's qualifying. In the past, I haven't been all that fond of the Red Bull Ring, but this time I feel extremely comfortable here. I hope that, tomorrow, we will be able to repeat today's performance - especially in the race - and get through without problems and penalties. Then I think we might have a good day."
Constantin Schöll (T3-HRT-Motorsport, Bentley Continental GT3): "I am feeling really satisfied. The team and I are getting to understand the Bentley better all the time, and I am very happy with the progress we are making. In the second practice session, I was up to second place at one point. In the end, we dropped back a few positions as we were only practising driver changes later on. The weather was very mixed, with lots of rain and very cold. It was good that we still had dry conditions for the second practice session. I am now looking forward to tomorrow when I will be in the cockpit for qualifying and driving the first stint."
Markus Pommer (Callaway Competition, Corvette C7 GT3-R): "Our times were not quite as good today. This morning it was quite tricky with the rain and the cold. We have to analyse the data now. Even later in the dry, it didn't go quite as well as we had hoped. However, some of the other teams were on fresh tyres, so it is difficult to know where you really stand."
Simon Reicher (Yaco Racing, Audi R8 LMS): "For us, it's mainly about testing and experimenting. We still have some problems in getting the best out of the tyres. We're well prepared for the race, but we still need to extract that last bit of performance for qualifying to have a decent chance of challenging in the race itself. We are trying to fix that now and see if we can go on the attack tomorrow."
Clemens Schmid (GRT Grasser Racing Team, Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo): "A lot of my friends and sponsors have come to Spielberg. It is always nice to have the opportunity to drive in your home country. If it's wet, we should definitely be somewhere at the front. It took us seven or eight laps during practice before the tyres were within the temperature window. That's a bit unusual when you need so long to get to the fastest lap on a new set of tyres. But it's the same for everyone, and you just have to adjust for it."
