ADAC GT Masters·8.11.2020

German GT title, Pirelli, 500,000 euro prize pool: ADAC GT Masters with German GT title

The ADAC GT Masters intends to establish a stable framework for all participants in the 2021 season and raise its profile. Next year, drivers in the ADAC GT Masters will fight for the title of International German GT Champion, so the ADAC GT Masters will be the only German championship for professional drivers competing at motor racing circuits. As was the case in 2020, there will be a prize pool of 500,000 euros for the 2021 season. Pirelli will again supply the ADAC GT Masters exclusively with tyres during the new season. The ADAC GT Masters and premium tyre manufacturer Pirelli have agreed to extend their successful partnership for several more years. The 15th season of the ADAC GT Masters will get underway on the weekend of May 14th-16th, 2021 in the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben.

“The ADAC GT Masters has had a very unusual, but nevertheless, exciting season,” said ADAC Sports President Hermann Tomczyk. “During this challenging year, the ADAC has been a reliable partner to all participants. We intend to continue in the same vein in 2021 and are pleased that Pirelli, the world leader in the market for tyres in GT3 motor racing, will supply the ADAC GT Masters exclusively. In conjunction with the vehicle classification from SRO Motorsports Group, Pirelli can thus guarantee a level playing field for competitors. With a calendar already confirmed in September, a prize pool of 500,000 euros and entry fees that remain unchanged, we can offer participants an impressive, well-established package, which is a very important consideration in these difficult times. We are already looking forward to returning to Oschersleben for the start of the season in May and hope that fans can be present there too once again.”

“Year after year, the ADAC GT Masters brings us motor racing at the highest level and is one of the world’s leading GT3 racing series,” said Michael Wendt, CEO of Pirelli Deutschland GmbH, commenting on the renewal of the agreement. “And for that reason, we are delighted to continue our successful partnership and supply the ADAC GT Masters exclusively with tyres. GT cars produced by leading international automobile manufacturers compete in what has become known as the ‘Super Sports Car League’. We look forward to many more years as partners to this very interesting motorsport championship, which underpins our role as leading tyre manufacturers in the premium and prestige segments.” Pirelli have been partners of the ADAC GT Masters since the 2015 season and that partnership is now set to continue in the Super Sports Car League and ADAC Formula 4. Pirelli will also remain tyre partners of the ADAC GT4 Germany.

Interested teams can register to compete in the ADAC GT Masters from Monday, 9th November onwards. Entry fees remain unchanged. Teams that register early for the 2021 season and submit their entry before 15th December can benefit from attractive terms and conditions.

The ADAC GT Masters features thrilling motor sport with a chance for fans to get close to the action and has a diverse and exciting support programme. The ADAC Formula 4 will line up as a support series at all ADAC GT Masters races next year while the ADAC TCR Germany and ADAC GT4 Germany will contest its races at six out of the seven meetings. In addition, the successful ADAC GT Masters eSports Championship powered by EnBW mobility+ will remain an integral part of the ADAC GT Masters as it embarks on its third season in 2021.
