ADAC GT Masters·5.8.2020

Information for spectators at the Nürburgring: Update for the second ADAC GT Masters race weekend at the Nürburgring

In order to prevent the spread of infection, managers at the Nürburgring have submitted plans to the authorities for the ADAC GT Masters race weekend (14th to 16th August) that are closely based on those for this weekend’s classic car grand prix (7th to 9th August).

In addition to the current rules on hygiene and social-distancing, it has been proposed that individual stands should be occupied to at most 30 percent capacity, that tickets should be purchased contactless, which can only be done online to guarantee space around individuals. The open grandstands will be divided into individual sections with designated blocks of seating, each having four seats that can be booked with the right amount of distance to the next block. Each grandstand will be allotted its own fixed parking area. A one-way system will then ensure that fans from different stands do not come into contact with one another. Access to the paddock will not be possible for people visiting.

No more than 5,000 spectators per day were allowed by the authorities to attend last week’s classic car grand prix.

The Nürburgring and the ADAC GT Masters hope that by the beginning of next week at the latest, the authorities will take the decision to allow spectators to come to the ADAC GT Masters following the successful staging of the classic car grand prix while respecting regulations to prevent infection. Fans purchasing tickets will then be immediately informed by email about the process for booking specific seats.

Tickets already bought for the ADAC GT Masters at the Nürburgring can be returned at any time to the booking office, exchanged for tickets for a race weekend later this year or even in the 2021 season.
