Jannes Fittje best Junior at first attempt: Porsche driver makes strong debut in ADAC GT Masters

Fittje made a strong charge in the Porsche 911 GT3 R along with team-mate David Jahn. Having started from 20th on the grid, Fittje fought his way up into P11. Jahn then managed to move the Porsche up the field to finish fourth overall. "It was a mega race," said Fittje with a chuckle. "I never expected such a result. In qualifying, I was only four tenths adrift of best time but was still only 20th. The gaps were extremely close. The start was turbulent. I tried to stay out of trouble and did a decent stint subsequently. I was eleventh when I handed the car over to David. He then drove superbly to finish fourth and secure a win in the Pirelli Junior classification - incredible."

Marvin Dienst was the second-best young driver. He finished ninth overall in the Mercedes-AMG from Schütz Motorsport. Fellow Mercdes-AMG driver, Mick Wishofer, was third in the car prepared by Zakspeed BKK Mobil Oil Racing team.

There was also a first-time winner in the Pirelli Trophy classification for amateurs, as Audi driver Filip Salaquarda from Team ISR also made it into the Top Ten with his team-mate, Frank Stippler, finishing eighth overall.
