Apart from lining up at the Nürburgring, the German team intend to compete at Hockenheim and at the Red Bull Ring. The company was founded by Hans Joos in 2007 and races a Porsche 911 GT3 R. The 911 will be driven by Michael Joos and Porsche Young Professional Julien Andlauer at the Ring this weekend and in Austria; Andlauer won the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland in 2019. It has not yet been announced with whom Michael Joos, winner of the 24-hour race at Portimão in mid-June with Precote Herberth Motorsport will share the 911 at Hockenheim; Precote Herberth Motorsport also compete in the ADAC GT Masters.
Michael Joos is looking forward to the Super Sports Car League, as he told us: “In the league, we’ll be able to see how we do against the best drivers and teams. The highly competitive nature of the series is its greatest attraction, as the world’s best GT3 drivers compete against each other in the ADAC GT Masters. We want to get the best possible result and prepare for our planned entry in the 2021 ADAC GT Masters.”
Joos Sportwagentechnik have readied themselves for their Super Sports Cars League debut with a number of test drives. “We’ve already been testing quite a few times to familiarise ourselves with the new 911 GT3 R,” said Joos. “The tests were all very promising. We have an excellent team and engineers, who are all very experienced.”
