Rahel Frey stages comeback with Aust: 34-year-old Swiss driver set to share drive in Audi with Hendrik von Danwitz

The Audi Sport driver last competed in the Super Sports Car League from 2013 to 2018 and won two races in Yaco Racing's Audi R8 LMS. She is now set to stage a comeback at Aust Motorsport alongside newcomer Hendrik von Danwitz.

"It's great to be back in the ADAC GT Masters," said Frey. "I met the team and Hendrik for the first time last week during testing at the Lausitzring and everything went really well. Of course, we are cast more in the role as outsiders but aim to improve during the season and deliver some decent results."

Team Principal Frank Aust said that he is very much looking forward to working with his latest signing: "We are delighted to have acquired Rahel's services. As a driver, she has had plenty of terrific GT3 experience, and we think very highly of her. She will be able to give our rookies quite a few valuable tips to help them develop."

Frey is one of three women in the ADAC GT Masters line-up for 2020. The others are Porsche works driver Simona De Silvestro at Küs Team75 Bernhard and Carrie Schreiner in the Audi R8 LMS prepared by Rutronik Racing.
