Hamza Owega will take over from Carrie Schreiner in the cockpit this weekend and partner Dennis Marschall. Schreiner is unable to contest the sixth round of the ADAC GT Masters, as she is unwell. Owega lined up in the ADAC GT4 Germany last season with his brother Jusuf and finished third overall. He made his GT3 debut this year but this will be his maiden race in the Super Sports Car League and first time out at the Lausitzring.
"Of course, it's a pity I can't join Dennis for the races," said Schreiner. "Especially since we are currently fighting for a top-three position in the Pirelli Junior classification, but my health is more important at the moment and I have to see that I make a speedy recovery in time for the season finale. Still, I'm pleased that Dennis can keep fighting and wish the team every success at the weekend."
"First, I would like to wish Carrie all the best and hope that she can get well soon," said Owega. "I'm delighted to have been given the chance to make my debut in the ADAC GT Masters with Rutronik Racing. However, I am also realistic and know that the weekend will not be easy. The circuit is new to me and the field is extremely strong as we all know."
