There will be a change in driving personnel at the halfway point of the season in the ADAC GT Masters for the Küs Team Bernhard: Jannes Fittje will no longer be competing for the team in the German GT Championship.
The decision was made by mutual consent. However, Fittje will continue to work with the Küs Team Bernhard and will also be driving in GTC Race events.
The 22-year-old driver from Langenheim joined the Küs Team Bernhard in 2020, competing in the ADAC GT Masters and celebrating second place in the overall Pirelli Junior standings in his first season. The Küs Team Bernhard will soon announce who while be taking Fittje’s place in the cockpit of the #74 Porsche 911 GT3 R alongside Dylan Pereira. “Our cooperation in the ADAC GT Masters is coming to an amicable conclusion,” says Jannes Fittje. “Many thanks to Timo Bernhard and the entire team. Everyone has been working hard and we were able to celebrate some great success last year by finishing second in the Junior standings.”
Team principal Timo Bernhard says: “I would like to thank Jannes and his family for the good and fair cooperation. It is a shame that circumstances do not permit this cooperation to continue in the ADAC GT Masters. However, I am delighted that Jannes will continue to be involved in driver coaching and will appear in some GTC races for our Küs Team Bernhard.”
