Driver change at Küs Team Bernhard

The number 74 Porsche will have a new driver line-up at the finale of this season’s ADAC GT Masters at the Nürburgring.

Established Porsche driver Marco Holzer will take his place behind the wheel of the 911 GT3 R this weekend, and will share the cockpit with Sweden’s Joel Eriksson. Regular driver Dylan Pereira lines up at the FIA WEC finale in Bahrain at the weekend. Holzer contested several rounds of the German GT Championship in the Joos Sportwagentechnik team’s Porsche at the start of the season.+

“The schedule clash means that Marco Holzer will start in the number 74 car,” said team principal Timo Bernhard. “He knows the series and the car well. As such, we have a very strong pair of drivers in him and Joel Eriksson.”

As usual, last year’s champion Christian Engelhart and Porsche works driver Thomas Preining will share the driving duties in the team’s second car. “The Nürgburgring is a second home race for us,” said Bernhard. “I associate this circuit with a lot of positive memories and emotions. I hope the Eifel weather plays ball, despite the races taking place quite late in the year. We have seen a clear improvement in form in recent races, and were really strong at the last two race weekends. We really want to back that up and have a successful season finale with both our cars.”
