A new driver will line up for Küs Team Bernhard at the Red Bull Ring this weekend: Porsche works driver Dennis Olsen will share the driving duties with Jannes Fittje at round two of the ADAC GT Masters in Austria.
At the wheel of the second car will be the familiar pairing of defending champion Christian Engelhart and local favourite Thomas Preining. “By way of exception, we have a change of personnel in the number 74 car,” says team principal Timo Bernhard. “As the change to the calendar in the World Endurance Championship means that regular driver Dylan Pereira is unable to attend the event at the Red Bull Ring, he will be replaced by Dennis Olsen. As a Porsche works driver, Dennis knows the 911 GT3 R very well and will team up with our regular driver Jannes Fittje in the #74. Dylan will be back in the cockpit at the next ADAC GT Masters weekend in Zandvoort in July. We are looking for a good team result in Spielberg.”
The Red Bull Ring is an important venue for Küs Team Bernhard: “We claimed our maiden victory in the ADAC GT Masters there in 2016,” Bernhard recalls. “We took a lot of positives from the season-opener in Oschersleben. I think we will be well-positioned again in Spielberg. The cards will be reshuffled and we’ll see how the balance of power develops in the ADAC GT Masters field, with its extreme strength in depth and possible shifts in power at any time.”
