The “Mamba” will be looking to strike again this season: Mann-Filter Team Landgraf – HTP WWR lines up with a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo in the ADAC GT Masters again in 2021. The car with the striking, luminous-yellow snake-like livery will be driven in the German GT Championship by Mercedes-AMG drivers Maximilian Buhk (28/Hamburg) and Raffaele Marciello (26/I). This season’s ADAC GT Masters kicks off from 14th to 16th May at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Free-to-air TV station NITRO will broadcast all 14 of the season’s races live and in full.
In order to cope with the packed schedule and extensive programme facing them in the coming season, the German-American team Winward Racing (WWR) is joining forces with the Landgraf Motorsport team from the Rhine-Hesse region of Germany for its outings in the German GT Championship. The successful partnership between HTP Motorsport and the premium filter brand of Mann+Hummel GmbH from Ludwigsburg now enters its fifth year..
“After so many years, we feel a real affiliation to the ADAC and the racing series,” says team principal Christian Hohenadel. “For this reason alone, it was important for us to be represented in the Super Sports Car League again in 2021. We are particularly pleased to continue our long, trustworthy cooperation with Mann-Filter. We also know the drivers well. We have two very strong drivers in Maxi and ‘Lello’. The partnership with Landgraf Motorsport is the product of a long and good relationship between the two teams. Klaus Landgraf and his team have an outstanding location, top-quality equipment and perfect logistics. HTP WWR provides the engineering. The cooperation allows us to operate at the highest level in the German GT Championship. Only then do you have any chance in this fiercely-competitive field.”
The team from Altendiez in the Rhineland-Palatinate has been racing in the ADAC GT Masters since 2013 and currently has six victories and six pole positions to its name with cars from Mercedes-Benz and Bentley. The biggest success was winning the Team Championship in the 2018 season. In 2020, the team’s successes included victory for Marciello from pole position in the final race of the season in Oschersleben.
