Montaplast by Land-Motorsport lines up with a second “Mamba”

Audi R8 LMS sports the Mann-Filter look for the first time. Former champion Christopher Haase to drive for the team from Westerwald again. Luca-Sandro Trefz steps up from ADAC GT4 Germany.

Montaplast by Land-Motorsport has a new look: Christian and Wolfgang Land’s racing team lines up with a bright yellow Audi R8 LMS in the ADAC GT Masters for the first time. The mid-engine sports car with the “snake design” of new sponsors Mann-Filter will be driven by Audi Sport driver Christopher Haase (33/Kulmbach) and newcomer Luca-Sandro Trefz (19/Wüstenrot). Oschersleben hosts the opening round of this season’s ADAC GT Masters from 14th to 16th May. All the races will be broadcast live and in full by new TV partner NITRO.

“The mamba has made Mann-Filter an established name in the series,” says team principal Wolfgang Land. “The look is professional and well thought out. We are proud to have Mann-Filter as part of our team, and are particularly excited to see our Audi as a mamba.”

The duo in the #28 Audi will be led by the experienced Christopher Haase. This is the former champion’s third season with the team from the Westerwald region. Haase is confident: “With experience and a healthy dose of ambition at the wheel, we want to convert this promising basis into success in 2021.”

The arrival of Trefz sees another talented youngster take his place at the wheel of the R8 LMS. The 19-year-old showed what he is capable of when he won the Pro-Am title in the GT4 European Series in 2019. The ADAC Stiftung Sport driver is now making the step up to the ADAC GT Masters. “I have been a fan of Land-Motorsport since I was 15,” says Trefz. “I am delighted to be part of this successful team and am looking forward to sharing the wheel with a strong team-mate.”

This duo sees Montaplast by Land-Motorsport put its faith in another combination of former ADAC GT Masters champion and talented youngster in its second car. Back in mid-March, the team from Niedersdreisbach announced that Christopher Mies (31/Heiligenhaus), the 2016 champion, and Ricardo Feller (20/CH) would be driving its other car. When Haase and Trefz take to the track in their Audi, it will be the first time that the Mann-Filter design has featured on cars from two different manufacturers. Mann-Filter Team Landgraf – HTP WWR will also field a yellow Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo.
