Winter sports ace

Former bobsleigh star Kevin Kuske was at the Sachsenring on Saturday as a guest of the “Club of Champions” of ADAC GT Masters partner herrenausstatter.de. The man from Potsdam, who is the most successful bobsleigh athlete in Olympic history with four gold and two silver medals, visited several teams in their garages, met and had a chat with ex Formula 1 driver Markus Winkelhock, and gave the ADAC GT Masters field the signal to start their engines ahead of the Saturday race. After the race, the 42-year-old presented the most successful drivers with their trophies.

New port of call in the paddock

The new ADAC Vorteilswelt Lounge made a successful debut in the German GT Championship as the new port of call for ADAC members at the Sachsenring. In the lounge, which is located in the paddock, ADAC members receive free coffee from Vorteilswelt partner Eni, can charge their mobile and surf the Internet with the free Wi-Fi. There is also information on the diverse offerings of ADAC Vorteilswelt. The ADAC Vorteilswelt will also be at the coming events at the Hockenheimring and the Nürburgring.

Young motorsport fan

Seven-year-old Emil enjoyed an extraordinary day at the Sachsenring. In the summer, the young motorsport fan from Heiligenstadt had entered a competition run by ADAC GT Masters partner FaberExposize in the kindergartens in his hometown of Heiligenstadt. The challenge: to draw a cool race car. Emil’s winning picture was selected by ADAC GT Masters driver Jannes Fittje and adorned the driver’s Porsche 911 GT3 R at the Sachsenring. Together with his family, Emil attended round five of this season’s German GT Championship as a VIP guest and was given an exclusive glimpse behind the scenes of the racing series.

Delighted fans

Sachsen is regarded as a motorsport-mad region. This was clear for all to see at the Sachsenring. Many thrilled spectators visited round five of this season’s German GT Championship and were delighted to be able to finally meet their favourite drivers and teams again during the autograph session and pit walk. The ADAC GT Masters was the first motorsport event of the year at the Sachsenring, which allowed fans to follow the action live at the circuit and in the paddock.

Visit to Callaway Competition

The latest video documentary from “ADAC GT Masters Backstage live from the eBay Box” goes behind the scenes at Callaway Competition, the oldest and most successful team in the ADAC GT Masters. A team from ADAC GT Masters partner eBay visited the racing team in Leingarten and shows how the Corvette C7 GT3-R of Jeffrey Schmidt (27/CH) and Marvin Kirchhöfer (27/Luzern) was repaired and made ready to start in Saxony after the fire at the Lausitzring.
