Two new faces at Küs Team Bernhard

Two new drivers will drive the number 74 Porsche 911 GT3 R for Timo Bernhard’s team at the Lausitzring.

New to the team from Landstuhl in the Palatinate region of Germany is Joel Eriksson. The 23-year-old Swede takes over as a regular driver in the 911 with immediate effect. At the Lausitzring, however, he will not share the cockpit with his actual partner Dylan Pereira, who will be in action at the finale of the Porsche Supercup in Monza at the weekend.

Julien Andlauer will stand in for Pereira for the two races in Brandenburg. The 22-year-old Frenchman is a former Porsche Junior and has since been promoted to Porsche Young Professional. Andlauer won the French Carrera Cup in 2017 and was champion in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland in 2019. He took victory in the GTE-Am class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2018, and this year secured pole position at that event. Last year, he made his debut with Team Joos Sportwagentechnik in the ADAC GT Masters at the Nürburgring.

As usual, reigning champion Christian Engelhart and Porsche works driver Thomas Preining will be at the wheel of the number 75 car. “After a long break, we finally return to action at the Lausitzring,” says team principal Timo Bernhard. We had the opportunity to test there, so we feel well prepared. We have our usual strong team of Christian and Thomas in our number 75 car. In the number 74, we welcome Joel Eriksson as a new regular driver. However, he will first be driving alongside a different team-mate this weekend, as Dylan is well-placed in the Porsche Supercup. He will be replaced at the Lausitzring by Julien Andlauer, who obviously knows the car very well. As such, we have a very strong crew in both cars and have our sights set on good results.”
