Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland lines up at six events again. GT2 European Series and Prototype Cup Germany make their ADAC GT Masters debuts.
Thrilling motorsport, impressive racing series, and spectacular cars – spectators and fans can look forward to an even more attractive and entertaining support programme at ADAC GT Masters events this season. Featuring GT3 and GT4 series, as well as a variety of one-make cups, the German GT Championship will once again be one of the biggest platforms in Europe for GT cars. The new ADAC GT Masters season gets underway from 22nd to 24th April at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. TV station NITRO will broadcast all races live, from 12:30 on Saturday and Sunday.
ADAC GT4 Germany will share the bill with the ADAC GT Masters on six occasions and boasts its biggest field so far, including 30 sports cars from six manufacturers. Also making six appearances on the support programme is ADAC TCR Germany, in which seven different models of car will provide plenty of variety this year. ADAC Formula 4 is the place to be for the Formula 1 stars of tomorrow, and they are set to feature at three events in the German GT Championship. Two Porsche one-make cups, the Touring Car Legends, the GT2 European Series and the new Prototype Cup Germany will add to the motorsport spectacle.
The Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland is also a regular at ADAC GT Masters events in 2022. This season, the one-make cup will feature on the support programme at six race weekends. The car used by all the drivers is the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. Fans can look forward to an exciting season, with 32 starters from 13 teams. One of the most successful drivers in the field is 2020 ADAC GT Masters champion Michael Ammermüller. The Motorsport Team Germany development squad also includes 20-year-old Laurin Heinrich. The support programme in Zandvoort will also feature the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux.
The Touring Car Legends will add some nostalgic flair at the opening round of the German GT Championship, which takes place at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Cars ranging from the Audi V8, BMW M3 E30 and the Ford Mustang 5.0 GT, to the Alfa Romeo 155 ITC and AMG-Mercedes C Class will take spectators on a motorsport journey back in time.
New to the ADAC GT Masters platform is the GT2 European Series, which will make a guest appearance at the Red Bull Ring. This series predominantly sees Gentleman drivers at the wheel of cars from such renowned manufacturers as Audi, KTM, Lamborghini and Porsche. Spectators can look forward to two 50-minute races, each with a mandatory pit stop, and spectacular cars with over 600 hp at their disposal.
The Prototype Cup Germany is making its debut this year and will appear on the support programme of the German GT Championship at the Lausitzring and the finale in Hockenheim. LMP3 cars generating over 450 hp line up in the new series. This category is the entry-level class in the rapidly growing division of Le Mans prototypes.
ADAC GT Masters race weekends are even more attractively priced for families and youngsters in 2022: Admission is free for under 16s, when accompanied by an adult. Tickets are available online at adac.de/motorsport.
