Ford will introduce the Mustang to the GT3 class in the 2024 season, and the Americans have now revealed what the customer racing model will look like.
During the presentation of the seventh generation of the Ford Mustang in Detroit, Ford offered a first glimpse of the planned racing version of the Mustang, including the planned GT3 variant. The GT3 Mustang is currently being developed by Ford Performance and technology partner Multimatic and will be available for customer teams to run in GT3 series around the world from the 2024 season. The Mustang is powered by a 5.4-litre V8 engine. Ford has yet to reveal any other technical data or details of the planned customer racing programme. The production version of the seventh generation of the Ford Mustang hits the market in 2023.
At the same time as the GT3 model, Ford is also developing a GT4 car, which will be ready for action from the middle of next year.
